  • 4 bone-in chicken thighs
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 3 tbsp low-sodium soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tsp fresh minced ginger
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp sesame oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Chopped green onions for garnish

Instructions

  1. Pat chicken thighs dry and season generously with salt and pepper.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, rice vinegar, ginger, and garlic.
  3. Heat sesame oil in a skillet over medium-high heat; sear chicken thighs skin-side down for 5-7 minutes until golden brown.
  4. Flip the thighs and add the honey garlic sauce. Reduce heat to medium-low, cover, and simmer for 20-25 minutes until cooked through (165°F/75°C).
  5. Remove the lid during the last 5 minutes to allow sauce to thicken.
  6. Serve on a plate with extra sauce drizzled on top and garnish with chopped green onions.
