  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter (melted)
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 8 oz cream cheese (softened)
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  2. In a bowl, combine melted butter and cocoa powder until smooth. Mix in sugar, then add eggs one at a time, blending well after each addition.
  3. Gently fold in flour and vanilla extract until just combined.
  4. In another bowl, beat softened cream cheese with powdered sugar until creamy. Add an egg and mix until smooth.
  5. Pour half of the brownie batter into the prepared dish, spread the cheesecake mixture over it, then dollop the remaining brownie batter on top. Swirl gently with a knife.
  6. Bake for 30-35 minutes until edges are set but the center jiggles slightly. Cool completely before slicing.
