  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 2 medium carrots, diced
  • 1 cup frozen peas
  • 1 cup low-sodium beef broth
  • 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 lb Yukon Gold potatoes, peeled and cubed
  • 4 tbsp butter
  • ¼ cup milk
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef until no longer pink. Drain excess fat and transfer to the crockpot.
  2. Sauté chopped onions in the same skillet until translucent; add to the crockpot.
  3. Add diced carrots, frozen peas, Worcestershire sauce, and beef broth to the crockpot. Stir to combine.
  4. Season with salt and pepper; stir again.
  5. Boil cubed potatoes in salted water until fork-tender (about 15 minutes). Drain and mash with butter and milk until fluffy.
  6. Spread mashed potatoes over the meat mixture in the crockpot, creating peaks.
  7. Cover and cook on low for 6 hours or high for 30 minutes until heated through.
